New Yarn – Spring Cotton
I would like to introduce our newest cotton yarn – Sirdar Cotton DK. 100g/212 m (22.0 sts = 4 inches on a 4mm needle). This yarn is so great, and actually surprised me. When I first looked at it, it did not immediately appeal to me, of course the sheen was lovely, and the colours are vibrant, but I was unsure if it would feel actually feel soft once knit up. Well I decided to give it a try – and it was amazing, the softness of this cotton totally blew me away!
Last month we went to Winnipeg to visit our brand new baby niece – I sewed Kate and her big sister Laine matching sun dresses, but wanted a little something to go with it. I found the Liten shrug pattern and knew that I could actually finish both a newborn and a 3 year old size in a week!
I loved the finished product, and I certainly have enough left over for something else! This is a great pattern to knit up as a gift, or if you are under a deadline and want something fast! And this yarn will be fantastic for any of your summer projects, for you little ones (or your big ones!).
