NEW Local Yarn Store!
Are you ready for some exciting news on the yarny front? My knitting teacher, Rebecca Glazier and I are starting a new LYS in New West to open its doors in early September!
Baaad Rabbit Fibre Arts Co will be a sister store to Baaad Anna’s; separate but equally focused on indie and quality fibre art supplies, including knitting. crochet, felting, embroidery, and a handful of other yarny pursuits. We intend to carry a completely different supply of indie and local dyers to what Baaad Anna’s offers so we can bring a new selection to the fibre arts scene in the Lower Mainland!
SAVE THE DATE!
We will launching our store opening with a smashing event: Come by on Saturday September 10th for a free YARN SWAP outside of our new location. Bring any number of full balls or skeins of yarn in exchange of tickets (1/Lions Brand or equivalent; 2/Cascade or workhorse yarns; 3/hand dyed or indie) and exchange for any other swap yarns free of charge! Or buy tickets for $2/ea; with all proceeds going to the UNYA Urban Native Youth Association.
STAY TUNED (check back) for more details as we get closer to our launch!
Address: 804 Twentieth St., New West
We are located two block [easy walk] from the 22nd Street skytrain station on Twentieth Street in New West with ample parking. Located on the north end of Queensborough Bridge, we are easily accessible from Burnaby, South Vancouver, Richmond and Delta, as well as serving the New West and skytrain communities!
We are excited! Hope you are too!

This is so cool!
I currently buy yarn from Sweet Paprika in Montreal. I used to buy it from Crafty Fibres in Delta. If you’re looking for another yarn to add to this new shop, please think of Sweet Paprika Designs. I’ve been happy with each of the yarn types that I’ve bought from them. PS Paula – Looking forward to having Baaad Anna’s x 2.
Thank you! We have a full lineup for the new store already but we will keep this in mind. We are lucky to have so many great indie yarn options in Vanada, and its great to have Knit City be able to offer more options than the local store may be able to carry at any given time. Thank you for your suggestion!
