Summer is around the corner, and what better way to enjoy the warm weather than by knitting outdoors?
The Knit2Gether team, June, DJ, and Suzanne, have organized some fantastic meetups to foster community and creativity throughout the season.
Knitting Outdoors: Embrace the fresh air and sunshine while working on your projects every Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm.
E = Edmonds Park – Meet near the trees next to tennis courts on Elwell Street side
C = Confederation Park – Meet behind McGill Library between the pool and parking lot
F =Meet east of washrooms and children’s playground
TD = Tommy Douglas Library (indoors)

Don’t worry about facilities; all locations have access to washrooms, and Confederation Park offers shelter under the library in case of rain.
Burnaby Public Library
For those who enjoy the indoors, the Tommy Douglas Branch is hosting knitting sessions on select Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm in Community Room 2. It’s a cozy space to knit and chat with fellow crafters.
Fridays online Weekly Zoom Meetings
Can’t make it to the in-person meetups? No problem! Join the Knit2Gether team online every Friday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm via Zoom. Simply sign in using the provided link and enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home. Remember to log in by 7:45 pm to ensure everyone can make the most of the session.
Knots and Hop East Van
Additionally, for those in East Vancouver, a new monthly social crafting night called Knots and Hop East Van is starting up on Monday, April 29th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at East Van Brewing. RSVP to secure your spot and connect with fellow crafters in the area.
Summer is the perfect time to knit, chat, and create memories with like-minded individuals.
