Get ready to take your stitching outdoors, because World Wide Knit in Public Day is in a few days! On Saturday, June 14th, 2025, fibre artists around the world will be stepping outside with needles in hand to celebrate the joy, creativity, and community of public crafting.

This year, whether you’re downtown or East Van, there are ways to knit in community and celebrate the craft we love.

Baaad Anna’s – In-Store & Sidewalk Stitching

If you’re in East Van, come celebrate with us at Baaad Anna’s Yarn Store! We’ll be crafting together in-store from 11am to 6pm and if the sun’s out, you just might find us gathered around the sidewalk in front of the shop.

Bring: A chair or blanket, your WIP (work in progress), snacks/drinks

Nelson Park Knit Meetup

Looking for a central place to stitch with fellow yarn lovers? Head to Nelson Park (at Thurlow & Comox in the West End) for a casual, friendly outdoor knit-along.

Whether you’re here to meet fellow makers, soak in the yarny vibes, or just get a few rows in on your summer sweater, this is your invitation to knit with us, indoors or out. No registration needed, just show up and stitch your heart out.
