Beginner Crochet Class – Scrubby

This is a beginner class for someone who has never crocheted before or is looking for a refresher.

Participants will learn the basic stitches for crochet including; chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet. The class project will be a reusable washcloth or face scrubby.

Minimum 3 and maximum 6 participants

Materials Needed:

Materials can be purchased at Baaad Anna’s Yarn Store.

Crochet Granny Square Workshop

Granny squares are not only a perfect project for learning these next steps skills but can go on to be part of endless projects such as blankets, sweaters, bags, hats, toys and beyond!

Participants will make a three colour granny square while learning crocheting in the round, turning corners and adding colours.

Prerequisites: Beginner crochet skills; Student should be able chain, single and double crochet.

Materials Needed:

  • One 5mm crochet hook or hook
  • 50 g / 80 yards (74 m) each of three different colours of worsted weight yarn such as Cascade Anthem yarn similar from your stash.  If using a different weight yarn please adjust hook size accordingly.
  • Darning needle and scissors.
