Craft + Games Meet Up
Have you wondered how you can meet new people without the inevitable forced awkward small talk? Well YOUR local yarn store can help! How about participating in a games night that encourages you to bring a craft of choice while participating in an evening of board games?
Starting this month on April 17th we will be hosting our first GAMES NIGHT [monthly] that includes:
- Meet up from 6:30-8:30 with games starting at 7pm
- We will have multiples of the same game happening at different tables; seating will be randomly assigned at arrival so you can meet new crafters
- Bring a craft that keep the fingers busy but lets the brain conjure up gameplay! Maybe a mindless stockinette, or a portable punchneedle, countless cross stitch that just has a large area that needs filling. Anything that gives you game!
Our first go will be with one of my childhood favs: the murder mystery like no other… Clue! Use a notepad or your phone to investigate but your best tool will be your brain which needs to remain sharp to catch the killer! Maybe even as sharp as those needles you are holding!
April CLUE night:
When: Friday April 17th 6:30 – 8:30pm
What: $10 registration that buys you a seat at the table & a $10 credit* towards the purchase of a Vintage Bookshelf Board Game of your choosing. The credit will be valid until the end of the year and can be accumulated with credits from future games nights.
So what are the Vintage Bookshelf Games, you may ask? As both a crafter and a games lover, I have been eyeing these boardgames hidden inside lovely faux hardcover book covers that can hide in plain sight alongside my fav knitty patterns and book club novellas! Gotta get a Clue?
So if you want to try something a little different than your local craft socials, and are ready to get your game on, register today as we hope to create a new community space with these game evenings.

- June 12th: SCRABBLE nite!
Not sure what a good craft would be for a CRAFT + GAMES evening. Pick up one of these beforehand so you have an hour to prep to the point of being able to no-brainer craft, and you should be good to go to join us without much trouble!

* Note: Credit coupons will be limited to registered players in person on the night of the event; we are unable to hold onto these for no-shows. One coupon PER PERSON PER EVENT can be used for purchase of a game; but can use credit coupons from different game evenings for a single purchase (ie. attend 5 evenings & get $50 off).
