For anyone who’s been waiting for our large Winter Blowout Sale, a date has been set: Mark your calendars for the weekend of March 5th and 6th!

Not only for the thick winter yarns, but this is a great time to stock up some gorgeous DK, fingering and lace weight in preparation of the warmer weather! We will be releasing our list of sale yarns within a week on the blog so stay tuned!

We have some great Classes coming up in the month of March as well.

Our Intro to Needle Felting Class will introduce technique, detailing and shaping by making egg shaped figures such as the bunny and chick above.

And during the spring break we will have the one hour Kids’ Intro to Felting classes for elementary-aged youth. They will be decorating their own pre-felted Easter Eggs to take home.

Our Intro to Knitting class is switching evenings for the month of March to FRIDAYS and our project-based Beyond the Basics is happening on Tuesday evenings.

Additionally we are thrilled to offer two additional specialty classes new to Baaad Anna’s taught by Liisa Nieminen of Fluff and Hustle.

Planning for a Successful Knitting Project

Saturday, March 12 from 2:00 – 5:00pm

All successful knitting projects start with good planning! In this 3-hour workshop we’ll go through all the things to consider before knitting a single stitch. You’ll learn to choose the right yarns and needles, swatch efficiently and accurately, and modify patterns to your own taste, so that your next project will turn out exactly the way you want it!

Continental Speed Knitting

Mondays, April 18 & 25 and May 2 from 6:30-8:30pm

Ever wonder how one wins an Addi-sponsored speed knitting contest or gains a knitting record of 80 stitches per minute? This 3-week workshop covers Liisa’s Continental knitting technique from A to Z and gives you all the tools you need to become the fastest knitter on the block!
