Helping Hands Needed!
We are looking for a crocheter that may be able to help us celebrate the life of fibre arts advocate in our community. Although we can not often take on such requests, we have been asked to help locate someone who may be able to finish a crocheted blanket started by lady who had given so much time of her life encouraging others in our community to pick up knitting needles and crochet hooks for the first time. If anyone would have a few hours to donate to this project, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can arrange.
And to that end, join us this Sunday March 11th for the second installment of our Give Back Sundays! This knit/crochet/fibre craft get-together invites you to come with your tools and pick up some donated yarn to create something for someone in need in our community. Whether you choose to knit a pair of mitts for the Downtown East Side Womens Centre, or create a tiny purple baby hat for Purple Crying Awareness, or crochet a prosthetic breast, we can provide yarn and snacks for a two hour craft-for-others event at the store from 1-3pm. Hope to see you there!
