Looking back over this year, our community has accomplished an amazing project. Back in March, we came together to set up just three Fibre Libraries in the Vancouver area. Now, we have ten well-loved Fibre Libraries up in YOUR neighborhoods, with a few more in the making!

We have absolutely loved supporting this project as a way to give back to our community. The community members and fibre arts lovers who stepped up to build and host these libraries are the champions helping keep fibre arts accessible and sustainable. With the intention of rehoming unused yarns and fibre goodies, anybody can take and give to these libraries!

New Location

The newest addition to YVR’s Fibre Libraries comes from Dunbar. What started with a simple post in a Facebook Buy Nothing group, ended up in an amazing display of teamwork. Even the roofing squares were donated by a local company!

So while you’re finishing your holiday knitting, consider bringing your spare yarn to a Fibre Library near you… check out which one is closest to you!
