NEW YARN: Partea Knits
As the Fall season has blossomed into sweater weather we are thrilled to launch some NEW LINES including a new indie dyer from Northern BC! Ethically sourced, and small batch dyed, Partea Knits hails itself as an independent business focused on creating beautiful yarn and fiber that will inspire your next project. Melissa and Brendon run this home-based business out of Hazelton British Columbia, on the territory of the Gitxsan people. As a husband and wife team, Melissa (the creative force) and Brendan (the guy who does the background stuff), have created some of the most beautiful tonals and colour combos to reflect the true heartland of this province. To compliment our already extensive collection of local hand-dyed yarns, we brought these in a variety of different bases, including Sport, Worsted and even some gorgeous fibre for spinning or felting!
Check out these cute little beans! They come as a surprise pack of five 5g minis to put a pop into your spinning or give a selection for your next felting project. Or full-size 100g braids are also available in Merino (22 micron, non-superwash) or Bluefaced Leicester (24-28 micron, non-superwash) wool.
And for the yarn lines we opted for their two most squishy bases perfect for west coast sweater knits. The colours are fantastic with pops of crisp saturation that reflect the temperate rain forest and canyon valleys of our beautiful province!
Our two yarn bases:
Fibres: 100% superwash merino | 17 micron Weight: Worsted (4) Length: 115 g / 210 yards (192m)
Fibres: 100% superwash merino | 17 micron Weight: Sport (2) Length: 115 g / 275 yards (251m)
