NeighbourHOOD MAL Information & Knit Nights
With most of the holiday festivities behind us and a new year fast approaching, we thought it was a great time to announce Baaad Anna’s NeighbourHOOD make-a-long! January is a long, cold month, so we thought up this community event to get us out of the house and wrapped up in something warm. For this make-a-long we’re focusing on the coziest accessory of them all: hoods, hoods, hoods! Balaclavas, bonnets, wrap-around-your-head shawls- you can make whatever pattern you’d like, and WIPS are welcome, as long your yarn is from us.
This make-a-long hinges on our four in-person knit nights: the MAL cast-on party on January 8th, our two middle of the MAL knit nights on January 15th and 22nd, and our cast-off party on January 29th. Come hang out with your crochet and knitting community, make some new friends, and see how fast your hood flies by.
You can sign up for the knit nights here on our Eventbrite. It’s free to join us, we just ask for minimum 24h notice for any cancellations so we can open up the spot to someone else. Please only reserve a spot at two knit nights, so we can give the opportunity to as many people as possible to join the fun.

If you’re unable to join us in-person you can absolutely join us online on Instagram with the hashtag #BAYSNeighbourHOODMAL and by tagging @baaadannas in your posts. Our Ravelry page has a hood-focused pattern bundle, and we’ll share some of our favourites here on the blog with you next week as well!
How to join in:
Before January 8th: pick out your pattern and yarn, reserve your knit night spots.
On January 8th: cast on/start your hood either at our knit night or by yourself.
January 9th-28th: Make to your heart’s content, share photos on instagram, tagging us and checking out everyone’s beautiful work on instagram and at the two middle of the MAL knit nights.
January 29th: Cast off your work at our cast-off party, share a photo of your beautiful new hood on Instagram and tag us!
We’re hoping to draw people out of their homes and into the community, allowing for some positivity and connection through this dark and chilly time of year! We hope you will join us <3
