Why We Begin with the Basics
Because here’s the truth: tablet weaving without inkle basics is like trying to skip to Season 4 of a show and pretending you understand the plot. Technically possible. Emotionally chaotic.
That’s why we’re structured the way we are.
Our Beginner Inkle Loom Weaving Workshop is where you learn the mechanics – how to warp without panic, how to manage tension without over correcting every five minutes, how to actually read what your threads are doing instead of guessing and hoping.
It’s the class where things start to make sense.
Then and only then, does the Next Step: Tablet & Inkle Weaving Workshop really hit.

Tablet weaving looks intricate (because it is), but it isn’t inaccessible. Once you understand the foundations, it becomes a series of logical steps: turning cards, tracking direction, watching pattern emerge row by row. It’s less “mystical textile wizardry” and more “ohhh, that’s how that works.”
The Next Step class builds directly on what you already know. We combine tablet techniques with the inkle loom, explore more complex pattern structures, and give you the tools to create bold, graphic bands with intention. You’ll still think. You’ll still focus. But you won’t feel lost.
You don’t need to be advanced. You just need the basics and the willingness to let yourself learn one layer at a time.
Season 1 first. Then Season 4.
Trust us.
