PST, Yarn Crawl and Support Small Business

There’s been a flurry of messaging out there about the PST changes in the wake of the snap provincial election announcement but in the small print it fails to highlight that there is no reprieve on the PST being added to yarn and fibre, and other mending and fibre related businesses as of Oct 1st!

I have a lot of opinions on this, but instead let’s focus on the positive: our yarn crawl this weekend is a great opportunity to shop with a 7% reprieve before the October change! We have 7 different stops throughout the Lower Mainland to get your fibre kicks (and even coffee treats at one of our stops), and the rains a’coming that make a new cast-on just the cozy prescribed!

So grab a friend, maybe a pattern or two, and invest in some extra gas to take that local fibre tour you have always wanted. We have a great little prize basket to add your name to at each stop, and it will be the perfect warm up for visiting the XOXO Fibre Fest on October 4th which will showcase many additional local dyers and fibre artists that also carry the weight of the added tax!
