NeighbourHOOD MAL Grand Finale!
Whew, I can’t believe our Hood Make-A-Long is over! Thank you so much to everyone who joined us, it was such a fun way to kick off the year. Let’s check out what some of you made:
Most of us didn’t totally get our hoods finished, but Cindy finished up her Hoodola by Laura Nelkin. The cowl portion of the hood will keep her toasty warm, and Cindy looks great in this blue Estelle Superwash Merino DK.

Chelsea is rocking the beginnings of a Contour Hooded Scarf, similar in shape to the Sophie Hood, but with a bit more texture! Hers is being made in a nice rusty Estelle SW Merino Worsted

Everyone’s favourite dynamic duo both got very close to finishing their hoods! Deborah (left) impressed everyone last night by picking up stitches for her Huddle Hood‘s drawstring casing with a crochet hook! It’s different than the traditional technique, but is definitely something to add to your playbook if you don’t already know how- here’s a tutorial! When asked, Helen (right) let us know she is simply making “a hood!.” She’s using Estelle’s Colour Flair, a great option if you like colour changing yarn.

Monette made a crochet hood in the Sophie Hood tradition! It’s so long, and very cute with the LBA Merino Aran! It’s almost twice as tall as Monette is!

We had such a great time with this MAL, and are so grateful to everyone who joined us. What kind of community events do you want to see from us in the future? We’re already scheming for the next one so keep your eyes peeled for any announcements!
Wonderful KAL and good work everyone.
Fun project and very useful…
Thanks Kate, I think everyone had a good time and we hope to do more in the future (:
