New Yarn: Rowan Hemp Tweed
This is the season for tweeds, and Rowan’s new Fall collection includes this gorgeous 75% wool/25% hemp blend that is soft and airy. Wool and hemp create ‘breathable’ knitted fabrics which are cool to wear in warm weather and warm in colder temperatures.

Once I get my holiday knitting off my needles I will try my hand at this Gotland sweater by Lisa Richardson.
Hemp fibre is resistant to stretching so does not distort with use and naturally softens with wear – hemp does not wear out it wears in!
I love the colours of this new Fall line.
And at $8.95/50g it can make a very affordable post-holiday gift-to-self sweater that is now in my queue!
