My First Sock, My First Sweater and Kids Knitting
You have been knitting for a while and feel like you’ve found your footing. Do you want to put a sock on it – knit with your own hands? Then this is the class for you!
In three weeks, you will have a knit a boot sock (DK-weight yarn) or an around-home sock (Worsted-weight yarn). You can also knit a tiny sock if you don’t have time for homework.
- Jeny’s Stretchy slipknot Cast-on
- circular knitting with double-pointed needles (DPNs)
- avoiding ladders and loose stitches
- picking up stitches for heel
- Kitchener stitch

You are comfortable with the knit and purl stitches and now would like to try knitting your first sweater! In this introductory sweater class, local designer Holli Yeoh will guide you through the process. You can bring your own sweater pattern and materials or get help making one of Holli’s own creations right from the designer.

For students from Kindergarten through Grade 7… Do you want to learn to knit? Learn new skills? Make fun projects?
In this project based class, you will learn how to knit—if you don’t already know—and/or learn new techniques while working on cool and simple projects like scarves, cowls, fingerless gloves or toys. Each kid knits what they want based on interest and skill level while being guided in a fun and engaging group of knitters and friends. All levels welcome.
An interactive welcome booklet will be provided for each student at the beginning of the first class. Patterns/project ideas will be supplied for students based on their skill level & interest.

This is a beginner knitting class for anyone who has never picked up needles, or for someone who is looking for a beginner refresher. Participants will learn the basics including casting on, knitting, purling and casting off. The class project will be a choice between simple hat, scarf, or arm warmers, and work towards completing it over 6 hours of instruction.
DATES: Thursdays, Feb 1, 8, 15 & 22nd from 6:00-7:30pm
For knitters that are comfortable with the basic stitches. Bring whatever project with a new skill you would like to master, and our teacher will work with you to complete it over 6 hours of class time in either 3 or 4 sessions. Tackle a new pattern or project and master some new skills.
