We are thrilled to present our newest Baaad Anna’s venture – The Travelling Woolery! Yes, it’s true, we have launched a wee fibre arts pop up shop on wheels! Part yarn store and part fibre kits shop, it’s a tiny house full of fibre that we envision rolling into all sorts of community events, markets and other places over the coming months and years. In early summers over the past three years, we would pack up Baaad Anna’s and take it roadtripping throughout BC and now we’ve formally put the shop on wheels.

The Travelling Woolery officially joined the Baaad Anna’s family back in January, with a planned launch for April, but for good reason our launch wasn’t possible. We wanted to launch this sweet mini shop when it was safe and the time was right so we’ve patiently been waiting for our moment (sanitizer and masks in hand). At long last, we finally had the perfect moment to take the pop up shop out and about and last Friday we drove to Yarrow (in the Cultus Lake/Chilliwack area) for their Friday evening weekly farm market.

We packed up the shop and brought amazing intro-level and beyond-basics kits and supplies with us to help get people started with weaving, felting, macrame, knitting and crochet. And for our yarn lovers, we also brought a selection of our most-loved yarny goodness.

What an evening it was! We were so lucky to join the Yarrow market. We had such a warm and friendly welcome, met so many wonderful people and even got to visit with Baaad Anna’s customers. While the evening ended in torrential downpour our spirits weren’t dampened one bit. This new fibre adventure is one that we are loving and we hope that you will too.

So, what’s next for The Travelling Woolery? We have a few market dates for September that we’ll be sharing in the coming week and we’re hoping to even make it to some holiday markets later this year.
