New Arrivals

There’s a certain smell in the shop right now, part lanolin, part cardboard, and part pure joy. Bags and boxes are stacked like yarny fortresses, half-opened and spilling colour. It’s glorious chaos, the kind only yarn people understand. I may have gone a little overboard at Knit City (you can’t blame a person when surrounded by so much temptation). The shop is bursting with new arrivals, and every surface is a tangle of gorgeous potential.

We’re still labelling, shelving, and trying not to get distracted by all the squishiness, but I couldn’t wait to give you a peek at what’s here and maybe one or two secrets still on their way.

Jackass Collective

First out of the box and already causing a stir. Jordyn (they/she) is the Canadian hand dyer behind Jackass Collective, and we’ve been fans for a hot minute. Their yarns are unapologetically fun, full of personality, and packed with the kind of colour stories that make you grin mid-row.

They work with Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) one of their favourite wools for socks. It’s strong, soft, and mulesing-free, sourced from a Canadian mill. The result? Tough, durable yarn that still feels good next to skin.

We’re thrilled to finally have these on our shelves. Go peek at the Q&A we did with Jordyn here— it’s a great read about process, play, and colour courage.

Copperspoon Worsted

Claire and Tihson are the creative duo from Victoria, BC behind CopperSpoon Dye Company. Their hand-dyed, worsted-weight superwash merino yarns are inspired by the wild and moody beauty of the Pacific Northwest, you can practically smell the cedar and salt air in every skein.

This 4-ply superwash Merino is designed to be soft enough for your neck but strong enough for your next big sweater adventure. Expect a rich palette of earthy tones, moody duo-tones, and the occasional flash of neon that feels like city lights through rain.

Every skein is mulesing-free, spun in Canada, and reverently hand-dyed in Victoria BC / Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) Territory. It’s yarn that wears its place of origin with pride and we’re so proud to finally have it back on our shelves.

Shelterwood Fibre Company

Locally sourced and lovingly milled in the North Okanagan, Shelterwood Fibre Co. is a small, family-run operation that believes in slow craft and regional connection. They work with fibre from their own flock – Paula the Polypay and Fran & Flopsy, the Rambouillets.

Their mission is simple and beautiful: to create high-quality, regionally sourced yarn that adds value to the local fibre economy. Every skein carries the warmth of the Okanagan hills and a little bit of sheep personality, too.

Les Garçons

Introducing the Marled British DK! While working with their new mill, Les Garçons created marled colourways to complement their solids. The specs of the Marled British DK match that of their regular British DK – they are interchangeable and can be used together with the same needle and at the same gauge.

British DK is a luxurious 2-ply, DK-weight yarn spun from a beautiful blend of bluefaced leicester wool and natural brown masham wool. Masham sheep have been bred for over a century on the hills of Northern England. When dyed, amazing and deep colours come through due to the brown masham fibres in the blend.

Entre Soeurs & Laines

Fresh on the shelves and still warm from the dye pots, these bases are everything we love about handmade craft. Two sisters, a shared obsession, and yarn that makes you want to knit outside with a cup of coffee and a woolly blanket. Some are still waiting to be counted, but every skein we’ve touched so far hums with care.

Two Cozy Chicks Project Bags

The unsung heroes of every crafter’s life. They’re roomy, sturdy, and super cute. Perfect for holding that new project or a soon-to-be-very-fancy skein (no spoilers, but your project bag is about to feel très chic).

Right now, the shop floor looks like a yarn explosion, in the best possible way. Shelves half-filled, labels everywhere, mugs of tea going cold while we get lost in the colours. We wouldn’t trade this kind of mess for anything. And between you and me? There’s one last delivery we’re quietly (okay, not so quietly) waiting on something that’s flying to us. Stay tuned, friends. You didn’t hear it from me, but you’ll definitely want to be here when it lands
