New Yarns: Americo Merino Copito and Fine Tweed
We are thrilled to introduce another exceptional Canadian line that’s new to Baaad Anna’s. Based out of Toronto, AmericoOriginal sources all their yarns directly from the farms and mills of Peru to create unique blends and consistencies in an eco-friendly manner. I absolutely fell in love with the quality of these yarns which create such luxurious fabric with even the most simple patterns. With these, you can let the yarn do all the work!
First up, Americo Merino Copito is a super bulky thick-and-thin made up of 100% Merino. With 43 yards per skein this is perfect for those last minute gifts.
One of the best things about Americo is how accessible they make knitting quality gorgeous garments and accessories. They have produced a number of beginner-intermediate patterns that are available free with purchase. For example, for this yarn, they have a two-, three- and five-skein cowl pattern that you can get at our store when you pick up their yarn. Or try this cushy two hour hat!
Americo’s trademark mill and handspun yarns are produce with natural fibers from the Andean highlands of South America and include luxurious wools, llama, alpaca, organic and premium cottons, linen, silk and cashmere.
For Fall we also brought in their entire Fine Tweed line, a fingering weight blend of Superfine Alpaca, Merino Wool, and Viscose for strength. The combination creates and incredibly soft but durable fibre that knits into a light-as-a-cloud, nest-to-skin soft fabric.
Americo also gave us a sneak peak of a free pattern that will be published in next week’s Canadian Living online; another great last-minute gift ide… felted bowls made out of the Merino Copita we have in store!
Would you possibly have a pattern : Grayden two/three color mittens?
It was an Americo pattern which I lost and am unable to find. Perhaps you could help
