Spincycle Kits Ready For KnitCity!

We’ve brought on Spincycle’s most versatile sport-weight line, Dyed In The Wool, and are excited to announce some Baaad Anna’s exclusive kits that are now available.

Spincycle Yarns comes from just south of the border in Bellingham, WA. Spinsters Rachel and Kate used to handspun each and every skein, but to meet market demand have found a small mill in the Pacific Northwest that can take yarn they have dyed prior to spinning and then batch spin, giving the yarn the unique and marled look and feel of handspun. You can see a variety of colours in each ply which slowly change throughout the skein as different dyed colours were spun up, giving the finished object a slow but distinct colour change throughout the knit.

As you can imagine this process is quite time-consuming and expensive. We’ve teamed up with Spincycle to make two of their most popular kits more affordable to the Canadian market.

The Hank Hat uses an easy and unique technique to create a thick and smooshy toque… With or without a pompom! In our kit we’ve paired a skein of Spincycle’s handspun-esque gradient with a skein of Cascade 220 Sport in a solid to highlight the beauty of the Dyed In The Wool skein.

We also put together a Pine Bough Kit with two of our favorite yarns. Pairing Dyed In The Wool with a skein of a Canadian fav, Ancient Arts 8-ply, we have been able to reduce the price to be at par with the USD kits. This gorgeorous kit creates a warm, thick mid-length tubular cowl echoing the beauty of our Temperate Rainforests of the Pacific Northwest.

Be sure to check out these and few other beauties we have brought north for Knit City 2016!
