Intro to Reading Charts and Gauge…
Have you come across a graph with symbols in a pattern and wondered what you do with it? Would you like to become better at reading knitting charts? Charts are a simple way to convey knitting instructions while at the same time provide the knitter with visual cues to the finished design. Many modern patterns may include both written and charted directions, but as skills advance many knitters adapt a preference for this handy tool.
Our second workshop in the Building Block Series can help you get more comfortable with reading these knit maps, and give you hands on experience with knitting a sampler block that can be grown into a baby blanket or larger lap quilt. Other skills taught in this workshop include an introduction to gauge and bind-off.
