Single Breed Yarn Tasting THIS FRIDAY

May 6, 2019

Join us this Friday evening May 10th for an evening of yarn mini sampling, pattern discussions and treats. This time we will be offering a menu of single-breed yarns from local and small-scale farmers including Anna Hunter’s Longway Homestead, Caroline Dick’s Elderberry Yarns, and Lynne Anderson’s West Coast Colour. Come ‘taste’ bredd specific yarns and learn about the warmth, durability, and garment-matching for various breeds!

What is a yarn tasting?

This will be a sit-down event with some refreshments, hands-on knitting and good company! Your reservation will include five mini-skeins from some of our favorite dyers and farmers! Compare different yarn weights and fibre content head to head while knitting up a simple pattern or swatch square.
