Join us to play with various fibres and textures for our first virtual Yarn Tasting event! Times may be achangin’ but that’s no reason to avoid hosting some of our favorite events, so to launch a new year we will be doing a virtual yarn tasting event. Mark your calendars to join us on Sunday January 17th from 4-5pm as part of this month’s Fibre Love Affair! Its free of charge to pop in, and if you want to play along we will have our Yarn Tasting packages for sale from Monday in store and online for $20.

What is a yarn tasting you might ask?

In the past we always hosted these as sit-down events with some refreshments, hands-on knitting and good company! Each participant received a variety of yarns to ‘sample’ which, one by one, they could cast onto their needles while yarn specs, pattern-making suggestions and finished objects are presented.

For our Virtual Yarn Tasting event we will be offering suggestions and guidance on four of our shop favorites: Wollmeise, Earl Grey, Chester Knits and Americo Originals.

You can drop in to hang out and hear about these great yarns, or if you want to play along we will be putting a small-run of take-home package with the minis and a few small surprises that will be available early next week. Keep an eye on this blog and we’ll update you when those are available!
