“My work is an exploration of portraits through different mediums and formats. I find inspiration in music and movies and like to join lyrics to the illustrations, always with a touch of humour. I recently extended my printing to clothes that I thrift and love the idea of giving them a second life.”

About the Artist

With a background in Cinema and Arts, Louise Marie left France 6 years ago and found a new home in Vancouver. She likes to experiment through painting, collage, linocut but also makes short documentary films. The crossing point of all those activities is her interest in people, translated to the Portrait theme.

Summer Pop Ups Vision

This summer we are hoping to highlight local talent and support our community and local artists. We will be offering a 3-hour slot every Saturday throughout June, July, and August. That means we are looking to fill 13 slots in our expanded space! These do not have to be directly fibre arts-based businesses, we welcome any happiness-inspiring local makers!
