Our Warm Things Drive has started with bang and this week over 100 hats have gone out to two different non-profit groups working in our neighbourhood!

The Portland Housing Society and a VCH Mental Health group will be the beneficiaries of this donation and we are still working on supporting more local social care groups. Please feel free to drop off any handmade items such as hats, socks, scarves, mitts and even sweaters in new or good condition that can use a new home. Additionally I will put a collection of donated yarns and bring them to the local Knit Night at Hastings Community Centre next week if anyone wants to join for this knitathon!

On Wednesday Dec 18th this local knit group will have their holiday celebration at the 3096 Hastings Street address, and it is open to all crafters! Bring a white elephant gift (bring a small wrapped gift such as a skein of yarn or some notions for a present exchange) and join us to craft one last time at this location in 2024! The community centre charges a small fee of $2.50 for the use of space, and the front desk can direct you to which room you can find us in.
