Woolly Weekend 2025!

Celebrate Woolly Weekend from September 25–28 with four days of yarn-filled fun – book launches, featured indie dyers, a local yarn crawl and in-store celebrations. Whether you’re heading to Knit City or exploring your local yarn shops, make it a full fibre weekend with us. Click on the links below to learn more about this wool-packed weekend!

    Baaad Anna’s Extended Store Hours

We’re keeping the doors open a little later this weekend, so you have time to swing by the store after a day at the marketplace, or between fibre classes. We’re only 2 blocks from the PNE!

    • Thursday, September 25 – 11am – 9pm
    • Friday, September 26 – 11am – 8pm
    • Saturday, September 27 – 11am – 7pm
    • Sunday, September 28 – 11am – 6pm

    Yarn Crawl

Friday, September 26th, 11am–8PM (at Baaad Anna’s, other store hours may be different)
Somewhere further down the road, shining in the distance, is Knit City. The Emerald City of fibre. You’ve heard about it for weeks, maybe months. But to get there properly, you’ll need to collect something along the way. At your first stop, a kind shopkeeper hands you a punch card. “Your traveller’s map,” they say with a smile. Every time you make a purchase, another little hole is punched, proof you’ve made the journey. In October, you’ll trade it in for your reward:
    • SHOP ALL 4 STORES FOR A 30% COUPON
    • SHOP 3 STORES FOR A 20% COUPON
    • SHOP 2 STORES FOR A 15% COUPON
By the time you reach the Emerald City, you realize the truth: the road was just as good as the destination. And there’s no place like your local yarn store. Participating Shops

      Book Launch Event
Thursday, September 25th, 7–8 PM at Iron Dog Books

Join us at Iron Dog Books (register through their website) for an evening of words, wool, and community.

Baaad Anna’s will keep its lights on late that night, so you can wander in after the launch. With any $50 purchase, you’ll take home a free Baaad Anna’s project bag to hold your new adventures.

To make the night even more special, we’ll be hosting Lynne of West Coast Colour for a pop-up that evening from 6:00-9:30pm and she will be featuring Canadian wool and roving from her farm in Tappen, BC near Shuswap Lake! She will be bringing some yarns that have never been available in yarn store (only through her pop ups and online shop) so attendees will be able to explore her homegrown three-ply in white and deep brown, homegrown rovings milled in BC’s newest mill, and her most exquisite Shopshire base processed entirely on her farm!

Additionally we will be our selection of BC-based wools we regularly carry- including GN’R Alpaca, Disdero Ranch, and Shelterwood Farms, each with its own story spun into every strand.

      Mini Yarn Store Vending Machine

Lastly, we couldn’t launch a weekend without something silly, right? Although we are not hosting a booth at Knit City, Baaad Anna’s will have a presence in our sister store’s booth at Baaad Rabbit Fibre Arts Co with this little gem:
So bring a pocket full of toonies and try your luck… you’ll find it in store on Thursday & Friday, and then at Knit City Saturday and Sunday!
