Have we mentioned how much we love West Coast Colour?! If you’ve been in our store over the last while, you may have seen their Fits of Giggles Too DK or their colourful Falkland fibre on our shelves. We’re excited to announce we are now carrying the newest addition to their yarn line — West Coast Colour Home Grown.

Home Grown is a worsted weight yarn made from Canadian CVM/Romeldale sheep raised right on the West Coast Colour farm — and on a neighbouring farm — in Tappen.  It’s processed and milled locally near Tappen at a mill that uses spinning machines to produce true woollen spun yarns. The yarn is then dyed on the farm using low-impact fibre reactive acid dyes.

The process results in a light bouncy yarn with a rich colour profile that creates texture and depth.

Our Project of the month uses 13 shades of Home Grown to create this stunning Bounce Blanket designed by Tin Can Knits. It’s a must-have for chilly summer nights and even colder winter days.

One skein of each colourway is enough to make the largest size of the blanket. Personalize your blanket by mixing and matching colours to suit your unique style!
