Treats Designs Summer Pop Up
Our first Pop Up shop of the summer! We are thrilled to announce Ande of Treats Designs in our store front. This coming Saturday, June 11th from 11 am to 2 pm, stop by to browse beautifully handmade jewelry and learn all about Tagua (otherwise known as vegan ivory).
About Treats Designs
Ande’s work blends original design with eco-consciousness. She creates distinctive jewelry that is colourful, whimsical, and sophisticated. The collection features natural sustainable tagua seeds, also known as vegetable ivory, sustainably sourced in the Amazon basin.
About the Artist
After a successful career as a graphic designer, Ande found her passion in designing and handcrafting jewellery. After exploring a variety of media, she discovered tagua while travelling in South America, and was inspired by the vast creative potential of this versatile natural material and loves how she can express her commitment to ethical and environmental values in her work. Ande’s hands are always busy – you can find her in her North Vancouver studio holding either pliers and silver wire, or knitting needles and wool!
She proudly sources her tagua through a fair-trade partnership that she established in 2015 while working with artisans in the village of Sosote, Ecuador.
You can learn more about Ande and Treats Design by visiting her at our store June 11th or visiting her website.
