As we celebrate 15 incredible years at Baaad Anna’s, our staff has been working tirelessly to create a stunning collection of sweater samples that showcase the beautiful yarns we have in store for our upcoming Sweater Extravaganza. These samples, which will be on display in the shop, are to inspire you as you prepare for our Make-A-Long (MAL), running from August 28th to October 23rd. Alongside these fresh new knits, we’ll also be displaying a range of older samples to give you even more ideas for your next cozy project.

Shelterwood Fibre Company is a small, family-run fibre mill located in the North Okanagan region of beautiful BC. Their mission is to create high-quality, regionally and responsibly sourced natural fibre products. In sourcing from and providing service to local fibre producers, they aim to add value to the local fibre production economy. We carry a selection of locally sourced Romney wool in various yarn weights.

Hand dyed in small batches in their home studios in the Montreal suburbs, Quebec, Canada. Mailles à Part Nuage d’Alpaga, is a lace weight yarn crafted from 74% Suri alpaca and 26% mulberry silk, offering a soft and fluffy alternative to mohair blends. Its delicate texture and luxurious feel invite crafters to explore lace projects or combine it with other yarns for added opulence.

Fluffy Ass Brioche Cardigan by Clara Eggers
Yarn: Disdero Ranch Bulky, GN’R

Romney Bulky is a softly spun Lopi-style yarn that is lustrous and rustic. This is a breed-specific yarn composed of pure 100% Romney wool grown at Disdero Ranch in Tappen, BC. Blankets and sweaters knit up with Romney Bulky are light, cozy, and easy to hand wash. G’N’R Alpca Boutique is another lovely local business from Oliver, BC.

I am thrilled to introduce Fluff, a gorgeous collaboration between Les Garçons of Montreal and Walcot Yarns! This dreamy blend is spun out of friendship and brings together 55% baby alpaca, 18% fine merino, 17% mulberry silk, and 10% yak. The result? A truly unique brushed yarn that’s designed to be worked at a sport weight on a wide range of needle sizes. Whether you’re crafting cozy garments or delicate accessories, Fluff is perfect for adding a touch of luxury to your projects.

We have done a big restock (with every colour ion the range) of this exciting “blow yarn” made from soft baby alpaca and cozy merino wool – this quality has a unique construction where instead of spinning, the fibers of baby alpaca and merino wool are blown into a tube together. Garments made in this yarn are about 30-35% lighter than those made with conventional spun yarns of the same thickness. Garments made in DROPS Air are totally itch-free, which means everyone can wear them!
