Thank You
I want to send a HUGE thank you to all who came out last weekend for our 15th Anniversary celebration! We were worried about what a loss of KnitCity next month would mean for us and the local indies we support, but alas all who came to support our Sweater Sale filled our cup with kindness! We even experienced a flooding disaster (par for the course for our 15 years of maintenance-neglect by the building’s owner) but the lovely patrons that visited us first thing on Saturday morning showed such patience and kindness as our staff did what they could to get the store back up and running in record time!
We were thrilled to pay-forward what would have been our booth-fees to our customers this weekend; it was a thank-you we were able to share with those that were lucky enough to get the 20% off their Fall sweater quantity purchase during our weekend sale. And our staff were gifted donuts and coffee by some lovely customers that fueled them through a whirlwind of a weekend. Fun was had by all!
So now its time to celebrate our first 15 years by revisiting our Knit Nights… we will be hosting a limited-run Wednesday night get togethers over Sept and Oct from 6pm-8pm, so if you have Baaad Anna’s yarn to knit up please come join us! Space is limited so SIGN UP HERE or give the store a call; and if it any night is full we will be taking a wait list! We will open up sign-ups one week prior to each knit night, so if you can’t make the first mark your calendar for the upcoming registrations!
Also as part of our 15 year celebrations we are running a Sweater Make-Along, with ALL DETAILS HERE, and there are 15 prizes to be had; some from our lovely vendors, and others from my own ‘reserved’ stash that includes some out-of-print lovelies from the way-back machine. Here’s a peek at some of the prizes already won by customers last weekend:
In addition to a $25 gift certificate to our store, we handed out four lovely pom poms from local fav Yarnboler, a skein of yak from Calgary-talents Ancient Arts, and an amazing gift basket from Canadian family owned and operated Estelle Yarns!
This week one of our lovely customers won a 10-pack of one of our longest running, and now discontinued yarn line (from my ‘special’ stash): Debbie Bliss Baby Bamboo… who still has some of these in their stash??
Looking forward to seeing your sweater knits and handing out more prizes!!!
