NeighbourHOOD MAL Check-In!

We’ve made it to just over half way in our NeighbourHOOD Make-a-Long, can you believe it? We’ve been blown away at some of the projects you’ve been working on, it’s been so lovely to see so many of our yarns knit up in different textures and colours.

The knit nights have been so fun! It’s been great connecting with you all and learning more about the community that supports Baaad Anna’s. I’ve loved having some cozy evening plans through the darker months. Crafty friends are the best friends!

Here’s what some of us are working on:

Bee is just over halfway in their “My Jose Hood,” almost through 3 balls of Drops Air, and is pretty blown away with how massive this hood actually is. They picked this hood because it sits quite loose on the head, so it protects their bangs from the dreaded hat hair. It’s been a pretty popular pattern through our MAL, three or four people are making this pattern.

Carol-Lynn has been working on the Amber Bonnet by Knitting House. What a lovely, feminine pattern! She’s using Estelle’s SW Merino DK held with Kid Silk. The rusty colour is perfect!

Kylie is making the 3×1 Hood by Sophie.knit, it’s a cozy, close to the head balaclava, and it’s a free pattern! She’s using one strand of Heritage Sock and one strand of mohair. Doesn’t it look so dreamy and soft?

There’s still time for you to join us, if the hood bug has bit you! Our next knit night is this Thursday, January 22nd, and our last night is January 29th. Our Eventbrite is sold out, but if you’d like to join send us an email or DM on Instagram and we’ll do our best to squeeze you in! Check out the original Make-a-Long blog post for more information!
