Are You A Yarnhead?
The West Coast Knitter’s Guild is hosting their first annual Woolith Fair Yarn Crawl next weekend, and they invite you to join free of charge to become a yarnhead!
What is a Yarn Crawl you may ask? Well, many are familiar with the concept of a pub crawl where you start at one pub and work your way through to many others over the course of a day, evening or weekend. Imagine the same, but switching in local yarn stores, fibre arts studios and knit-help pop-ups instead of watering holes. That, friends, is a yarn crawl. And starting this Friday going through Sunday May 8th, come join other West Coasters to celebrate the 2016 Woolith Fair!
Baaad Anna’s will be celebrating by discounting EVERYTHING IN STORE by 10% all day on Saturday May 7th, and we will also be hosting a book signing by one of our favorite local talents, Alexa Ludeman from Tincanknits from 1-3pm that same day.
A list of all participating Crawl Stops can be found on the Woolith Fair website, so be sure to scroll through and click on each venue to read about their own specials and events throughout the weekend. Some highlights include:
- Prizes to be won by visiting a number of the venues over the weekend and getting your passport stamped (passports are available at the first venue you visit or can be printed out here). Baaad Anna’s has donated a gorgeous fibre arts mug to the prize pool.
- You can check out a new (and free) shawl pattern designed just for this event to be launched at the start of the crawl.
- The Knitter’s Guild will be providing a knitting nurse station available throughout the weekend for knitting help and winding services!
We look forward to seeing you this weekend, all ye yarnheads of the West Coast!
